The largest casino in Pennsylvania will be complete in the spring – it is located in North Strabane, about 10 miles south of Peters Township. The current casino is a quarter of the size of what the new building will be when complete. The new building will be 350,000 square feet and be the home to nearly 4,000 slot machines!
Some features of the new casino:
v 1,000 space parking garage
v Large circular food court with 5 different types of fast food
v Upscale restaurant
v High stakes gaming area
v Giant elevated bar
v Small stage for live entertainment
v 24-lane bowling alley
v Glass-walled elevator
v Steakhouse restaurant
For those looking for racetrack action there are some very nice features as well. All food and beverage areas will offer views of the Meadows’ harness-racing track as well as the casino! A simulcast racing area and betting parlor will be located on the ground floor. The bowling alley is also on the ground floor. The second floor, where you will find the steakhouse restaurant and VIP rooms will overlook the track too.
Construction on the exterior and infrastructure is complete. Crews are laying carpet, installing slot machines and finishing the restaurant and bar areas in the next 6-8 weeks.
Grand Scale Facility
The grand scale facility will accommodate between 8,000 and 10,000 guests. It will be a “happening place” with all of the attractions beyond the gaming floor.
