With a little over 400,000 people in attendance every year, the Pittsburgh Three Rivers Regatta is the region’s largest community event and offers all kinds of great outdoor family friendly fun! Best of all? It is free!
You’ll be able to enjoy extreme water sports, freestyle motocross, powerboat racing, tons of children’s activities, concerts, and a dramatic finale of fireworks, just to name a few of the activities you and your family can enjoy! It is definitely an event to attend!

The Pittsburgh Regatta makes a splash as the City of Pittsburgh’s official Fourth of July celebration, including many popular water activities:

- “Red, White & Zoom” Water Ski Stunt Show
- Cadence on the River Dragon Boat Races

For the Kids:
At Point State Park, CBS Radio will be hosting their Pittsburgh “Calling All Kids” Zone, with wild, wacky and fun things kids like to do including inflatables and interactive games. Other interactive activities include the “Spacious Skies High” Climbing Wall and the Pennsylvania State Police “Rollover Crash Simulator” (for teens and adults).
Pittsburgh Regatta Concert Lineup:
National and hometown acts will keep the music going on the Point State Park main stage and the North Shore river barge stage throughout the Pittsburgh Three Rivers Regatta. The lineup features the patriotic presence of the U.S. Army Field Band and headline attraction, Three Dog Night

Local hometown talent including the Mahajibee Blues Band, Jason Deutsch, Crossing Boundaries, The Man in the Street, Strangeway, The 9th Ward and Donora.
“Patriotic Performance” Concert
North Shore Barge Stage
8:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
The U.S. Air National Guard band.
Saturday, July 4
“Gallantly Singing” Concert Series
Point State Park Stage
1:15 – 7:30 p.m.
Featuring hometown acts such as Cellofourte, The Delaneys, Tangerine and James Farrell.
“Visions of Glory” Victory Concert
North Shore Barge Stage
8:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
The United States Army Field Band and Chorus brings their inspiring repertoire of pop, patriotic and show tunes to the Barge Stage with a concert program that appeals to all ages.
Three Dog Night
Point State Park Stage
8:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
One of music’s legendary icons, THREE DOG NIGHT, takes the Point State Park stage for one high energy and explosive performance.
Regatta Fireworks – “Flashes of Freedom” Fireworks Fantasia
9:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
In the grand tradition of July 4th fireworks and fun, the Pittsburgh Three Rivers Regatta is also Pittsburgh’s most exciting Independence Day celebration. Celebrate the holiday with Pittsburgh’s largest fireworks spectacular – “Flashes of Freedom” Fireworks and Laser Spectacular – engineered by Pittsburgh’s own Pyrotecnico, the 2008 winner of the International Fireworks Competition in Montreal, Canada.
